My name is Angela Shen and I’m the founder of Savor Seattle. I love food. And more than anything else, I love sharing my enthusiasm with like-minded eaters!

My roots have always been firmly planted in the culinary world. To creating new dishes in my family’s restaurants and working in countless others, I learned that the power of food is indelible. It can inspire. It can convey joy. It can change lives.

In my corporate days, I worked in brand management at PepsiCo Beverages and Foods. I helped manage some of the most iconic food brands in the world, including Quaker Oatmeal and Life Cereal. But I always craved something more personal.

One visit to Pike Place Market sealed my new fate. It was my initiation into the Seattle food landscape. During my first weekend there, I lost myself in the aisles and shops that make up the labyrinth that is the market. Its infectious energy swept me up.  And despite it being a cold, blustery day and my having smoked salmon trailing down my shirt, I was in love. That was my “Ah ha!” moment and the rest is history.
