Due to our passion for accurately displaying the amazing foods our producers have to offer, we cannot always accommodate dietary restrictions. We certainly do our best and many places have options, but a few favorites of ours simply do not. Please reach out to us if you have any questions to see if you like what we have to offer.
Substitutions must be requested in advance with your ticket purchase. All tastings have been prepared in advance at each location, based on the information you provided to us at the time of ticket purchase. Last-minute dietary changes on tour will not be accommodated. This is a carefully choreographed food ballet!
We work with the best food purveyors. Keeping things streamlined ensures that guests have a consistently high-quality experience. Some partners see us up to twelve times a day, so we want to minimize mistakes.
There isn’t always a “next best” option that meets the special dietary needs of each of our guests. Since we have your health (and palate!) in mind, we truly appreciate your understanding on this issue.
If you HAVE SERIOUS FOOD ALLERGIES please contact us or call them at 206-338-1841 before purchasing tickets for any of our food tours or events.
Yes! If we know in advance, we will do our best to make appropriate substitutions for you on all of the tours.
You will taste foods and beverages that each destination is famous for, and some that are just unique and hard to find anywhere else. For specific details on what is sampled, visit our tours page.
Our tours include 6-8 tasting locations, with 11-13 tastings (depends on the tour type) along the way. All Savor Food Tours offer numerous bite-size tastings and visit a variety of styles of restaurants, artisan shops, and hot spots.
Yes! Each tour page lists the specific beverages included on that tour. Please note that tastings may change depending on the producer’s availability.
Yes! If we know in advance, we will do our best to make appropriate non-alcoholic substitutions for you on the tours.
There are a few beverage tastings on the tours. We encourage guests to bring a reusable bottle filled with water to the tours. Alternatively, bottled water is available for purchase at all meeting locations.
It truly depends on the individual and their appetite. For most, we recommend that you eat a light meal before joining us for the tours. The amount of food sampled on the tours is significant enough that many people delay or skip lunch afterwards, or will opt for a later dinner depending on the tour time.
The majority of the food tastings are not guaranteed kosher.
Absolutely not! You will taste locally made foods and beverages that will awaken your palate, while learning about and meeting the storied characters and vendors that give the city life. Soak up the rich and vibrant history that even locals don’t know about!
Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.
Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 48 hours notice of cancellation. All tours have a 4 guest minimum with a reschedule or full refund option. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time is sold out, there is always a chance that we will add an additional tour on that day. Please contact us to let them know what date you are interested in.
Tour Guide gratuity is not included in the ticket price, but is always greatly appreciated.
Savor Food Tours does not include gratuities in the cost of the tours. A standard gratuity for a tour guide is 15% to 20% of the tour price. If you had a great time, gratuities are accepted by our tour guides.
If you are bringing a child that is 2 years of age or younger, and he/she will not be eating during the tour, you do not need to purchase a ticket for him/her. If your child is 3 years of age or older, you will need to purchase a ticket for him/her, regardless if he/she will be participating in the tastings.
Yes! Children are welcome on most of our tours. However, please keep in mind that some children may have a limited attention span, so longer tours or events (typically 2–3 hours) may not be suitable. Parents know their children best and should assess each situation individually. Most tours involve standing and walking, so consider this when deciding if the experience is appropriate for your child.
Ticketing: Children 2 years old or younger who will not be eating do not require a ticket. Children 3 years and older must have a ticket, even if they are not eating.
Accessibility: Depending on the tour, strollers may not be permitted, and wheelchairs may not be recommended due to crowds, tight spaces, or narrow sidewalks. If you have questions about accessibility for a specific tour, please contact us directly.
Pike Place Market tours: The Market is a historic district, so some areas are not fully ADA accessible. Tours in Pike Place Market may include uneven cobblestone streets, staircases, and small, crowded businesses that are not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
Due to the various food establishments we visit, pets of any kind are not allowed.
The walking tours require a certain level of physical stamina. Please plan that you will be standing for the majority of the tour (2-2.5 hours) and possibly spending time in direct sunlight. We recommend comfortable footwear and a bottle of water. Water will also be for sale at the meeting location.
Tastings are on the go and seating opportunities are limited and sporadic.
Definitely! Many of our attendees live right in the city. Locals often join us to learn about the great food finds in the heart and soul of the city that have been under their noses the entire time! Your city is brimming with lively tales and history that you will be surprised by.
The events all end within a few blocks of the starting point. Your guide will be happy to assist with directions at the end of the event.
All tours and events are held rain or shine. You should dress appropriately for the day’s weather conditions and bring an umbrella if necessary.
We ask that you please wait to shop until after the tour so that we can stay on schedule and continue with the informative tour and food tastings in a timely manner. Allow time at the end of the tour to return to your favorite stores and vendors.
A restroom is available at the tour meeting location.
Yes! In fact, we strongly encourage participants to take photos during our events. However, we do not allow video cameras or tape recorders to record the events in their entirety without prior written consent.
